As you’re probably aware, from the frantic jingle bells and red and green slogans bombarding you since August, the holidays are coming. This post is not about shopping for Christmas, or trampling strangers at your closest box store for a Black Friday deal. This post is about giving yourself a gift, while saving money for all those sparkly one of a kind items you’ll be wrapping for friends and family in the near future.
The gift of health is priceless, but too often healthy and healing spa services come with a hefty price tag; a price tag, which may be out of budget, if you’re trying to save for holiday gift buying. For beauty buff’s facials are a must – clearing out pores, removing dead skin, and giving your face a healthy boost every so often keeps your complexion looking superb. And while, professional sessions with a trained esthetician are the best, an at home version can do the trick without busting your budget.
How to Do Your Own Facial
Put on the relaxing spa music, light a few candles, and pour yourself a glass of mint tea. Treat yourself to a DIY facial!
Scrub Like You Mean It with Organic Coconut Coffee Scrub
Before you begin your at home facial, the skin needs to be buffed and scrubbed, to ensure all your dead skin cells are removed. Our organic coconut coffee scrub is the perfect exfoliator for your face. With all natural organic ingredients, our coffee scrub gently helps remove blackheads, reduce the appearance of acne scars, and helps to prevent breakouts by removing skin and dirt that can clog pores. Free from fragrance, and only made with high quality organic ingredients, our organic coconut coffee scrub is suitable for all skin types.
Once your face is scrubbed, get even deeper with a thorough steam session. Take a washcloth and run hot water over it. Wring out, and lay over your face. Leave this on for 2 – 3 minutes. Steaming helps to bring impurities from your pores to the surface of your skin. For best results, repeat this 2 to 3 times.
Lay It on Thick
Once your skin is cleared of impurities, dirt, and blackheads, it’s ready to be deeply hydrated. Sticking with an all natural, organic, mask is the best option. Our current favorite is this DIY avocado mask. Sip on mint tea and relax while you leave this mask on your face.
Your skin should be feeling pretty darn good by this point. The only thing left to do is to add a bit of moisturizer to go! Grab your favorite all natural, organic, moisturizer, or simply use 100% organic cold pressed coconut oil for the finishing touches of smoothness.
